Sociology, Critical Theory, and Global Perspectives: A Scholar’s Journey

I am a professor of sociology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and have previously taught at IESP and several universities across Europe, the U.S., and Brazil. My research explores German, Anglo-Saxon, and French social theory, linking different strands of critical theory. I have published works on sociology, posthumanism, and critical realism, and I am currently working on a book on political hermeneutics analyzing Brazilian politics.
